What makes a good neighbor?

I have to admit to having phenomenal neighbors.

They’ve snitched on my kids, sneaking out of the house and climbing windows and trees at 2 a.m. Assisted when my snowblower died, and over 20 centimeters of snow was on the ground. They’ve watched over the house when we’re not home and even rolled out the trash or recycle bins for us. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for better neighbors. We exchange plants for our flowerbeds, cooking tips, and even medical advice.

Do my kids like that over the years, the neighbors have kept an eye on the place? Well, let’s just say after the first sneaking out attempt that went bust, they learned the neighborhood has eyes, and I haven’t had any other 2.m. knocks on my door about any of them climbing out of windows or down trees.
