You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?

I’m asking what the catch is because I grew up watching those Disney movies and reading the books. With a Genie, a wish isn’t just a wish; there’s always a catch.

So, let’s say I wish for a new car because my daughter wrecked mine over the long August weekend, and we have yet to replace it. Well, it could be that my mother-in-law would drop dead, and we would inherit her car. It’s not really a terrific wish, is it? Still, I did end up with that new car I wished for.

As I said, genies don’t grant wishes out of the goodness of their hearts, and wishes always have consequences to keep the balance in the universe.

Sure, I’d want to wish for world peace. What kind of repercussions would that bring? An apocalypse before peace, perhaps, is definitely not a risk I’d like to take. Wishing for money. A dead relative would leave me an inheritance. The losses are steep and not worth the rewards.

The Genie can return in its bottle and keep its wishes I’ll pass. I prefer not to mess with the balance of the cosmos.
