Why I Don’t Play Favorites with Websites

Daily writing prompt
What are your favorite websites?

I don’t like playing favorites; I never have.

That being said, here are the sites I perused of late: Amazon for books, yarns, canning supplies, and gift ideas. Goodreads to see the hot new reads, update my to-be-read list, follow conversations in groups and post book reviews, I-Books to discover new reads, update my to-be-read list, and post book reviews, Pinterest, Etsy, and YouTube to search for new crochet/knitting patterns, check out how to videos, find that new canning recipes. WordPress to keep up with all of you; of course, the Merriam-Webster dictionary is an incredible tool while I’m writing, and so is the Merriam-Webster thesaurus. Google, Messenger, Facebook, and even X are all part of my social media interactions, but any of these websites are my favorites. No.

I sometimes log in to Paramount, Netflix, Prime, or Disney to watch a TV series or movie. It still doesn’t make any of them favorites. It simply gives me options.

What’s the point of playing favorites when there are so many options anyway?
