Coping with Migraines: Finding Joy in Snowy Days

With the hectic Holiday season over and back-to-back migraine attacks, I’ve been delinquent in my posting efforts. I apologize for this.

On this snowy Monday morning, I decided to open my laptop and finally catch up on the world. I’ll post my overdue book reviews while enjoying a hot cup of dark roast coffee, watching the snowflakes flutter to the ground, and my beagle jumps up in the air to catch them mid-flight.

My little guy is in the backyard playing in the falling snow, having the ball of a time, running and jumping everywhere. It reminds me of when I was a kid with my sister and cousins, playing at my grandma’s house, building forts in the snow, starting snowball fights, and the neighbor’s dog chasing the balls we threw at one another. That was the good old times.

Now, it seems that spending a day thrift shopping with a friend exhausts me and sends my migraine spiraling out of control. These migraines have taken over my life, and I don’t like it one bit. Enough venting for one day; on to better things, like book reviewing, knitting, and possibly a walk in the snow with my overzealous dog.
