How important is spirituality in your life?
I’ve never really thought about it. Of course, it’s always there, but it’s as natural as breathing, so I don’t think about it.
It surrounds me in the gentle breeze of the wind, the rain nourishing the ground, the sun providing excellent vitamin D, and the oceans and the earth so generous with their bounties. Saying thanks by burning a stick of incense, dancing in a rainstorm, or wearing a gemstone bracelet or a pair of feather and bead earrings are simple gestures. A display of respect for the knowledge passed down through the generations and honoring my heritage.
Is it really spirituality? Perhaps not. To me, it’s fitting.
I write erotic romance, LGBTQIA2S+, and BDSM with a ghostly twist. As a writer, dreamer, and avid reader, I inhabit fantastical worlds and have a penchant for book boyfriends. I may sometimes forget myself in a book. It may take me a minute or two to remember where, or who I am: a mother, a lover, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a confidante, a bit crazy and neurotic, and totally okay with who I am.
