Why does it have to be either or?
I like a mix of both security and adventure. It’s good to have a place that brings you peace of mind, a person you can share your soul with, and no fear of judgment. A steady income to lessen the financial worries. A good circle of friends you can rely on. Having those safety nets in place brings you a great sense of tranquility. The stability of it all, the familiarity, can get redundant, sure.
And this is why some adventure and thrills are needed. Wake up one morning, pack up the car, and go on a road trip. Don’t forget to load the kayak on the roof or bring your paddleboard. It wasn’t planned. Who cares. Enjoy the sunny day.
Find a hiking trail off the beaten path and go explore. Go on a solo camping trip for a weekend and do some yoga in the wild. You see a bungee jumping sign; take the left turn. Ziplining next exit, take it. You got this. Let the thrill of the adventure run through your veins and free yourself of the safety nets for a little while. Find out what you’re made of without them. You might surprise yourself.
Security and stability are our roots, while adventures and thrills are our wings, letting us soar to new heights.
