ROXANNA CROSS

Erotic romance you can really bite into!

Book Review: Groupie C.M. Stunich

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Ever hear that old saying, “misery loves company”? Yeah, I think we all have, and C.M. Stunich brought it to life in this book. Ten words destroyed Lilith’s world: Lilith, I’m sorry, but your father passed away this morning.

Now, she has five dollars in her pockets and her life possessions in her car. She can’t even afford a tank of gas. A stranger with the most beautiful eyes, turquoise like the sea, gives her money, even offers a hug she desperately needs but refuses, and thus begins Lilith’s journey in the world of rock stars.

A stray pair of tickets given to her by her ex, the cheating bastard, gave her an STD; thank god caught on time and cured, Lilith decides to pawn the tickets and make her way to New York, see her dad – Dad is dead. She can’t seem to process.

Things go according to Lilith’s plan; she pawns the ticket. She also meets the most intriguing, infuriating a-hole of a man in a tailored suit and expensive loafers and the most sexy British accent. He gives her a backstage pass, drowning in grief, barely any money to her name; her stepmother told her not to come to New York, looking for an escape. Lilith puts the lanyard around her neck and embarks on a wild ride.

Pain calls to pain, darkness to darkness, and so on. The boys from Beauty in Lies have all their tormented stories. They each see pieces of themselves in Lilith’s grief; they all gravitate towards her. Each reveals a bit of their pain. The sex is hot, one and one, threesome, foursome, fivesome, and once Michael realizes that he can no longer keep his toxic relationship with his girlfriend going, he joins in.

It’s an emotional roller coaster from start to finish.
