At the end of July my washing machine went belly up, so of course had to be replaced however when the new one was installed something went wrong and my laundry room flooded and now half of main floor ceiling is gone so are some of the basement ceiling tiles and a portion of my walls are cut open.
August long weekend my daughter had car accident, totalled my car. Minor injuries all around for her and her passengers so honestly who cares about the car that’s just metal.
I guess what I’m saying is if my house, my car and everything disappeared overnight yeah there be a moment of panic but in the end it’s just things.
I think today people get so used to having everything at their fingertips in this material world of ours that we forget the most precious things of all: the people around us. The ones we build memories with. Our family and friends that support us in the good times and lends a helping hand during the hard ones.
The day I lose my support system is the day I will truly feel lost.
