Tips for Effective Self-Care: From Tea Time to Spa Days
How do you practice self-care?
With all the self-development reading I’ve been doing as homework assignments from my team of doctors, most of my self-care practices center around guided meditation, breathing and cognitive exercises, yoga, wall pilates, and walking with my dog.
The occasional spa day with facial, head massage, manicure, and pedicure is also a great self-care option, as is spending a day at a Scandinavian spa doing the three cycles of hot, cold, relax, and repeat.
To this day, one of my favorite self-care activities is having tea time with my girlfriends, knitting, and chitchatting.
I write erotic romance, LGBTQIA2S+, and BDSM with a ghostly twist. As a writer, dreamer, and avid reader, I inhabit fantastical worlds and have a penchant for book boyfriends. I may sometimes forget myself in a book. It may take me a minute or two to remember where, or who I am: a mother, a lover, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a confidante, a bit crazy and neurotic, and totally okay with who I am.
