2. existing only in the imagination; desirable or perfect but not likely to become a reality.

Considering nothing in my life is perfect or desirable, because let’s face it, I wouldn’t wish the chronic pain of my migraines on anyone. Therefore, the only thing I can think of as an ideal week would be one without any migraine attacks.

Perhaps even one where I can do all the activities I’ve missed out on: picking apples with my family, going to my nephews’ soccer games, enjoying a spa day with friends, dinner and a movie with my husband, or going for an early morning paddle with my girls.

It might seem silly to look at these mundane and somewhat random events as ideals, yet to me, who’s been paralyzed by pain and unable to move from my bed or rocking chair most days, they are glorious, and I can’t wait to be able to do them freely.
