Well, let’s see. I have doctor appointments with the omnipractionner, neurologist, therapist, and the assigned reading that ensues. The readings are not always helpful, but sometimes they offer valuable insights.
Additionally, I enjoy wall Pilates, walks with my dog, and swimming, as well as breathing and grounding techniques, mindfulness practices, and meditation that help me recenter myself in moments of anxiety or when a migraine overwhelms me.
Art therapy is also a great escape, as is knitting and reading. Writing demands more focus, but I love it. I just wish I could dedicate more time to it, if only my migraines would let up a bit more and permit it.
Time in solitude, candles, and a great book. Time with friends around a campfire. The family gathered at the table, enjoying a simple meal together. Sometimes, the simplest solutions offer the best remedies for keeping us healthy.
